President Reagan on tax loopholes

I try to avoid posting blatant partisan content on this blog, but I’m also a fan of debunking political myths and common political misconceptions. In the case of current arguments over taxation policy, I feel that this is instructive:

To be fair, Reagan advocated for, and acheived, a 28% tax rate for the highest income bracket from 1988-1991 (5% lower than our current 33%). However, the point about ending loopholes is sound, I think.
